I have many weaknesses. Some of it physically, but lots of them are mentally. For example, I can be a tad too pessimistic at times; I tend to think that things are worse than they actually are.
I'm also remembers my scars. I may forgive fast, but I'll will never forget. Sometimes, that one mistake might change my judgement on something or someone forever.
Well, something just pique my interest today, and I ended up reading a few things off the internet about overcoming my own weaknesses. So I thought, why won't I share it here?
It'll be great for all of us.
So here is my summary on what I've read today
So what is weakness?
1. "The state or condition of being weak."
2. " A disadvantage or fault."
Fault, Flaw, Imperfections
Ways to Deal with Your Weaknesses?
1. Admit it exist:
I think everyone know this. The first step in solving a problem is to firstly admit that you have a problem.
2. Embrace it
You don't have to think of it as a burden. Accept the fact that the weakness is yours. Don't hate it but at the same time think of a way for you to make sure your weakness won't block your path towards your dream
3. Forget the Past
Sometimes, your weakness might caused you to have painful memories. We can't turn back time, so it's really useless to keep on things that happened in the past. Learn and grow from it, but never make them your own personal ghost
4. Take Joy in Little Things
You need to learn appreciating the small things you've achieved by taking control of your own weakness. This way, it'll boost your confidence and make sure you're even more in control the next time you're going to face your own weakness once again.
5. Take a Break
It's not a sin to be weak or to lose to your weakness. Sometimes, your imperfection that you loathe so much is what that makes you different from everyone. What if you have loud voice? Or you're too much of a perfectionist? Or that you're too sensitive? Every thing in this world has two sides to it. It's not the end of the world if you falter in front of your own weakness. You can stand up and face it once again.
So how is it?
From all those readings, these are what I can conclude. I'm going to try practicing it now. I can be a tad too strict on myself too. I guess it's time for me to take a 'chill pill' and embrace myself wholly. Haha
