Funky Eyeliner Craze: Swatches and Review [My Collection]

Hello lovelies ^^

It has been known among my close knit friends that I am so obsessed with eyeliners.
I can live a day without a blusher, or a lip gloss, but not without eyeliner.

Therefore I've bought quite a variety of eyeliners from different brands and colours over time.
But in this post, I'm going to focus on my funky colours eyeliners first.
I will be writing another post for my black eyeliners collection some day.

Firstly, I would like the mention that I'm not being paid for writing this, and the opinion in this blog post is strictly mine and might vary with others.

So these are my funky colours eyeliners that I have.
So far, I've bought nine different eyeliners. Three of them are in the blue shade, one in emerald-ish green, one in purple, one in hot pink, two in brown shade and one in white.

Swatches

These are the details of each of them:
(Starting from the first eyeliner from the left)

1. Silky Girl Funky Eyelights Pencil in #13-Ever Green
2. Silky Girl Funky Eyelights Pencil in #11-Electric Blue

For eyeliner (1) and (2), these two I bought during a sale at Watson this month. So they are quite new in my collection.  I think the price for one eyeliner is about RM15.90 but I got both on a buy one free one offer.
Such a bargain right?

It's also very pigmented, doesn't smudge that easily unless being rubbed on hard. But it's also very easy to clean. It's glittery and are easy to apply with smooth application

3. Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil in #16-Coolest Chic

As for this one, I wasn't planning to buy anything but ever since I heard Essence brand came into Malaysia, I can't stop myself from checking out their products. There are several variety of colours for this particular Essence product, but I ended up buying a purple coloured one since I don't have any similar shade yet.
The price is about RM11.00

It's very affordable considering that Essence Cosmetics has been around for quite awhile. In overall I'm very pleased with the product with the price I bought it. Planning to buy another eyeliner from Essence next time. It's in a metallic grey-ish shade.

By the way, you can get them at selected Watson store. And trust me, you'll end up standing for quite a long time at the rack because their products is so cheap and affordable!
I really love their Eyeshadow brush and Blending brush.

4. Eliantio Celestial 2 in 1 Eyeliner in Moonlight Blue

First, I would like to say that I have no idea why they named it 2 in 1. I don't see any 2 in 1 features on it. But whatever~ because I really like Elianto products and this particular shade of blue is one of my favourite for me to wear to class.
It's a very dark navy blue colour, which won't seem too much when you're attending classes. It sometimes look black than blue, and I really like it for that; and it's more matte than shiny.

I don't really remember the price for this one either, but probably in between range of RM19-RM 25.
My best bet is RM19.90.

5. Too Cool For School Dinoplatz High Line Eye Pencil in Pink (No 2)

This one is probably the most expensive eyeliner that I have in my collection. It dries almost immediately after applying and have a shimmering metallic effect. The eyeliner has very cute packaging but the only downside is it gets easily stained since the packaging colour is white (but hey, who cares right? its just packaging). I rarely use this one because it is the most funky and bold colours in my collection but if you're planning to go to a concert or a party and have extra budget, this brand would be a good candidate. It seriously stays on your eye for quite a long time.

I'm not very sure about the price. But I think it's between RM50-RM60.
I bought it when Too Cool For School announced their first Malaysia branch opening in Bangsar Village.

Oh by the way, TCFS is a Korean cosmetic brand.

6. Etude House Bling In The Sea Proof 10 Auto Pencil #BR403-Star Brown

This one is not really a funky colour, but I just want to review it in one go. This eyeliner is in a shimmery brown shade and I like to use it on my waterline. Has a smooth application and stays on quite long after it dries up.

I don't know the Malaysia price for this one since I bought it straight from Korea.

7. The Face Shop "Make Me Star" Waterproof Gel Liner in #05-Sky Fever

This shade is very similar to Sily Girl Electric Blue eyeliner but it comes with a sponge like smudger at the other end. It has a smooth application and stays on very long. I went to a concert wearing this eyeliner and it still significantly stays on my eyelids even after I came back (roughly more than 12 hours).

The price is between RM 20-RM25, don't remember it.

8. Etude House Styling Eyeliner #02-White

I bought this one for my waterline since its white.
It has a shimmering effect, but it does get smudge easily
I sometimes use it for highlights since it's very easy to blend

Price unknown.
P/s: I don't think they have this in store anymore.

9. Elianto Stay On Eyeliner Pencil #02-Dark Brown

This eyeliner has a matte finish on it. It is one of earliest Elianto product that I tried and its easy to apply. The only downside of this eyeliner is it somehow could get very dry sometimes (rare case) and it became hard to apply but the same black one that I have doesn't have the same problem.

Price is probably around RM18.90

Smudging Test

 Rubbing with Water

I actually conducted one more test which is to scrub harder (instead of rubbing) with water. But unfortunately this silly writer has mistakenly deleted the picture.

But from that test, scrubbing on the swatches with water (and no other soap) managed to completely remove almost all colour swatches except for the Too School For School Highline Eye Pencil (pink eyeliner), The Face Shop "Make Me Star" Waterproof Gel Liner (Sky Fever) and Etude House Bling In The Sea Proof 10 Auto Pencil (BR403). These three swatches still have some residual that needed to be removed with facial cleansing product or soap.
