How To Handle Anxiety During The Pandemic?

credit:zencafe

Dear friends,
Since my last sharing on How To Feel Better About Yourself? last year seems to be quite popular, I've been trying to find another relatable topic that I can talk about with everyone. While I am not a professional, I am quite glad that some of you find a little solace while reading what I wrote last time. I guess we aren't very different after all. Almost everyone is experiencing the same feeling of uncertainties during the pandemic, and if we don't try to find a healthy outlet and a good way to manage it, the anxiety could actually be too overwhelming to overcome.

Looking For The Upside: How To Feel Better About Yourself? ☔

Dear friends,
How are you? Or to be specific, how are you feeling? Is life dragging you down recently? Because I feel like mine does. Although incomparable to the sufferings of people who are having it worse; this year has been very challenging for me, especially when it comes to my mental state. It is very hard to stay positive, to keep on the bubbly and happy mask when you keep on hearing bad news days after days. It is very tough to keep up with that good spirit when everything in the world is basically trying to hack away the last of it anyway. And I'm sure many of you are feeling it too.

Why 2019 Sucks Yet Memorable To Me ☔

Wow, the year is ending, 2020 is no more a distant future and I am stepping into literally the last year of my twenties. That is definitely a lot to process and will take me a while to fully digest. To be honest, I am currently in a mental situation where there are a lot of things that feel surreal, a little numbing and confusing. Somehow, 2019 feels like a missed potential. Despite having so many things that happened this year, I feel like it went by too fast. This could be the hormone, the lack of sleep or the melancholy of having to say goodbye to a pretty much life-defining decade of my life talking but yeah, I am a bit sad to bid this year farewell.

Life Update: New Job 👀

Hello, friends!
I am back to give you a little update on my life- you know, just in case there is someone who still cares to read this abandoned blog (or any story about me) LOL. First of all, yes, I am alive and well, to be honest, I'm actually feeling better these days too! There were so many things going on with my life recently; or more accurately this year (and some are still ongoing) that I just can't find the peace of mind nor the will to sit and blog something. Am I losing my inspiration? I don't know. I have been feeling a little discouraged about blogging but well that's more of a passing thought than a permanent sentiment so I am sure I'll be able to pick myself up sooner or later.

Opening My New Year; Reminiscing & Talking About Future Plans 💗

Annyeong, friends.
I would like to wish you a happy new year! Can't believe 2018 is over and now we're just one year away to 2020. Sigh, 2020! I used to think that it would be a way too far in the future but look at us, waltzing into 2019 in just a blink. Maybe because how the government used to talk about the year 2020 (Wawason 2020 if you know what I mean) and all the aims they had for the country when I was younger, I always imagined that people would be going around in flying cars by the time. I know now that's probably a bit far-fetched of a dream but looking at the development of technologies so far, I guess humanity did pretty good at the moment. We have self-driving cars and mobile phones that unlock itself with just a single look, so that's quite cool, don't you think?

Prudential Relationship Index: Confession of a Not Your Average Daughter 💕

If I am to describe myself as a daughter, I'll have to admit that I am the kind of daughter that keeps her distance and is very bad at expressing herself the right way. Compared to my two younger brothers, I don't really show as much affection as they do towards my parents and I always hesitate in sharing my problem with them because I feel like it's not a burden I should add on to their shoulder. Is it because I am the firstborn in the family? Since at a very young age, I've been thought to be independent especially since both my parent works to support us. Adding on their expectation on me as the eldest in the family, I always wonder if that factors into my frigidness when it comes to interacting with them?

The picture above was taken during my baby cousin wedding day. That rare occasion where we finally get a decent picture together because everyone hates camera (but me). LOL!

Things I Realized Are True Just After Graduate School

If you know me personally, there were times where I could be a tad too stoic and not flexible. Not with others usually, but more on myself. I'm also less of a risk taker, a trait which I still have problem to get rid of even up to today. Because of my lack of 'gut', there were times it…
