It was a last-minute decision but last night, I went to watch the A Star is Born movie starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga with the Althea gang. Bo went to watch it last week and she's been asking us to go and watch it with her again. Now that I've watched it, I totally understand her excitement. A Star is Born is such a good movie with great music and you guys should totally go and watch it!! I love love loveeee it very much, that I decided to make a quick post of 5 Reasons Why You Should Watch 'A Star is Born'. This post is not talking about the movie storyline in detail nor will I talk about what I feel regarding a certain scene because I want you guys to be able to watch it 100% without a spoiler. So, don't worry!
Synopsis (IMDb):
Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers and falls in love with a struggling artist Ally. She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
1. Amazing Soundtrack.
I love musical-type movies and the soundtrack to A Star is Born is just amazing. The track Shallow sung by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper is such a gem, I cried when they first sang it. Probably a tad too emotional of me but I love the lyrics. Also, the song was able to tie the entire movie together, it's definitely one of the best parts of watching it. Not just Shallow, but the other tracks featured in it are amazing too. I can't stop listening to all of them since last night & they're currently on my Spotify loop as I am writing this.
2. Lady Gaga's Voice.

One of the highlights! Listening to Ally's voice played by Lady Gaga made me star-struck. Gosh, I always knew that her voice is good, but I couldn't help to say my admiration out loud throughout the movie. She gave us chills! Not just that, but her acting was superb. Her emotional scenes deserve some applause and I won't be shocked if she got nominated for an acting award for this either. One more thing, can I point out how beautiful Lady Gaga is with natural makeup? I mean she is beautiful either way but the natural look gives off a different vibe & I totally love it.
3. Beautiful Love Story.
I am such a sucker for romance. So, if you love a good love story, this is definitely for you; but rather than a cheesy love story, A Star is Born has a more melancholic touch to it. The overall mood + cinematography of the movie is definitely not light-hearted kind but it matches the storyline very well. I love how they both adore each other + the sacrifice they do for the other half. I want to comment more about this and the progress of Jack's and Ally's love story, but since I don't want to spoil it for you, you better watch it yourself and see!
4. Just, Bradley Cooper.
Sexy hunk a.k.a Bradley Cooper
I mean, do I have to explain more? It's a movie starred and directed by Bradley Cooper! While the latter is the first attempt by him which he executed greatly, we all also know how good he is at acting. His rugged and conflicted rocker appearance in A Star is Born is so sexy and I was pleasantly surprised to know that he has a voice to match that quality as well. I think the chemistry between Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga is amazing too. Be it while acting or singing.
5. Worth Every Penny
For a movie that lasted more than 2 hours and managed to make me bawl my eyes out like there is no tomorrow, I would say that this is worth every penny. I would highly suggest you bring a bunch of tissue if you are a softie like me. Actually, bring some if you are not too because I saw some 'manly' tears falling off other moviegoers' eyes last night. It has a pretty good storyline overall, although I do hope they can elaborate more near the end. I totally understand why they didn't though because the movie will be way longer than it is if they did. Regardless, I still love it and I totally recommend you watch it at least once. I am thinking of going back for a second round soon! LOL
