Four Weeks with NanoWhite Dark Spot Corrective Serum ✨

Hello, friends!
Nanowhite can be considered a well-known affordable beauty brand in Malaysia and not long ago, the brand offered me the opportunity to review the Nanowhite Dark Spot Corrective Serum which according to a home usage test the product is said to show a difference as early as 2 weeks. Curious? Me too! That's why I agreed on it and to my pleasant surprise, they did not just send one bottle of the serum alone but they also included another three products from the same range to be used together in a routine. The additional three actually is not new to me because I've actually used the cleanser, toner and moisturiser from the range before.

Since this review is about seeing the effectiveness of the serum, I decided to ask my mom to be my tester instead as she has more prominent dark spots on her skin; this will make it easier for us to see the before and after difference (if there is any). But, instead of two weeks, I decided to let my mom use them for a month to hopefully see more improvement in her skin. Do note that my mom uses the whole range once per day only instead of twice because we found that the products cause her skin to breakout when used twice a day. I am suspecting the heat to be the one causing this. My mom is not used to layering so much skincare on her skin so using it twice was a bit too much. After adjusting to using them once per day, she did not encounter anymore problem afterwards. Do note that despite that having my mom testing the effectiveness of the range, I've also tried them on my own for the sake of writing this review and giving you guys as much feedback as I can.

Step 1: Nanowhite Awakening Snow Wash

Nanowhite Awakening Show Wash is a 'unique snowy cool cleanser that moisturises as it cleanses'. Enriched with Omega White-C and Nano-technology. Personally, I've used this product many years back. I think it was around my high school or university period, so this product is not new for me. For my dry skin, I really love the fact that it doesn't strip away the moisture off my skin after cleansing despite claiming that it's suitable for only normal-oily skin type. My mom does not encounter any issue while using it as well (her skin is more to ageing, normal-combination type). I usually don't like a face cleanser with 'whitening' properties as they tend to dry my skin but this doesn't. For an affordable cleanser, this is pretty good for all skin type.

Step 2: Nanowhite Refining Treatment Toner

The Nanowhite Refining Treatment Toner works as an astringent, helping to minimise and refine pores while helping to remove excess oil without drying the skin. Power-packed with Nano-technology, Omega White-C, Witch Hazel Extract, Orange Extract, Lemon Extract and Bilberry Extract, this toner is suitable for all skin type.

Step 3: Nanowhite Dark Spot Corrective Serum

The cherry on top of this review session is the Nanowhite Dark Spot Corrective Serum. Said to be formulated with Nano-technology, Omega White-C and natural extracts, this serum is said to be an effective whitening concentrate that penetrates deep into the skin to clear dark spots and other skin discolouration resulting in brighter and more even skin tone. According to a home usage test, 50 Malaysian women used the serum for 28 days and almost all (95%) of women aged 22-35 years old saw reduction in dark spots and acne scars after just two weeks of application. You can use this product after cleansing and toning your face, applying it too all area of the face and then adding another layer on problematic spots.

Step 4: Nanowhite Double Action Whitening Gel Cream

Light and not sticky, the Nanowhite Double Action Whitening Gel Cream helps to deliver double actions whitening for a smoother and moisturised skin. On top of that, it also claims to help minimises the appearances of dark spots and brightening up overall skin tone. With concentrated encapsulated Nanowhite Super Antioxidant ™ which contains vitamin C and E, it delivers maximum brightening effect and prevents oxidation for a longer lasting fairer skin.

Overall Thoughts

Let's talk about it based on my perspective first. I've tried the products several times for the sake of understanding the texture, and how they feel on my dry skin so I can write this post better. I would say that considering this range to be a whitening type, it's pretty gentle on my skin. Usually, my skin won't react well to whitening products and often time my skin will become irritated or turn out being really dry. So far, nothing of that sort happened.

As for mom, you can see the BEFORE and AFTER picture above. During the four weeks time of using this range, my mom skin seems to not be able to handle the layering of skincare if she is in a humid and hot room. They caused her to break out so as I've explained above, we decided to go for once per day usage instead. There is no problem afterwards. In term of the result, there are not many obvious differences that can be seen in a glance. It was pretty disappointing initially, but when I was preparing the pictures that I took and compare them side by side, there are some changes can actually be seen!

Blurred Fine Lines: If you see the before picture on the left, the fine lines are more prominent, while looking at the right side, they seem to be more blurred than before. The skin is also less 'textured' and pores are less visible

Dark Spots: In term of dark spots,in a certain area in the 'after' picture, you can see that the dark spot pointed by the arrow is lighter than the one in the before picture.

Moisturisation: According to my mom, this range is pretty hydrating for her skin. Looking at the before and after picture, you can see also that there is less flakiness/dryness in the area especially where the more prominent dark spots are.

Personally, I would say two weeks it's a bit more of a 'hit or miss' in term of being able to see the result, but the products do work after using it for a while. The picture of the result was taken one month after usage and although it was not tremendous, it's a start. Now my mom said that she finally finished the whole bottle of the serum & her skin does get better in terms of hydration, pore minimisation and lightening dark spots but continuous uses (more than one bottle) should make more difference in performance. So far it is worth the try!

You can get the full range of this product at all major pharmacies and supermarket Malaysia wide. For more information, visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/nanowhite, or www.nanowhite.com.my.

Till next post, toodles~! ♥ミ
