I Went to IU Love Poem Concert in Malaysia! 💜

Annyeong, friends!

Fangirl Anis is back. As some of you might have seen on my Instagram, I went to IU's first concert in Malaysia last December. To be completely honest, I didn't really want to go initially because the ticket was pricier than normal and I've also gone to the GFriend and D&E Concerts earlier in the same year. But well, I ended up purchasing it anyway because let's be real, it's IU! I've been listening to her since like forever and she is such a versatile musician, it would be such a shame if I missed it.

Thankfully my gut feeling was right. That night was super amazing! The overall concert experience was amazing, the fans and fan chants were amazing, IU's stage outfits were mesmerising, the songs selection were amazing. I actually bought the ticket alone and was sitting by myself during the concert yet I enjoyed it thoroughly! I also made friends with the people who sat next to me so it wasn't lonely at all.

It's been a while since I last went to the Axiata Arena, it is definitely better now with more restaurants to eat at while waiting for the door to open. I did buy the ticket alone but found out that Eros' younger brother Euri was also going, so we hang out together beforehand. I ate Subway for lunch and Euri treated me to a temporary tattoo with IU's name on it. Super cute!

I didn't record that much from that day because I prefer to live in the moment, but I do have some short clips that I took just so I can get to take a look at them from time to time! Like really, even after three months, I'm still having major throwbacks moment from time to time. Like I said, IU slew the concert and I would 200% go again if she plans on coming this year!

I wasn't really dressing up for the concert that day but I did my favourite coral-peachy style look to commemorate IU's song with the same name 🍑 The whole look used solely LilyByRed products and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it managed to stay pun throughout the night (even after all the sweating and crazy screaming!). I will try to find some time to write about those products so make sure to stay tuned.

Note: This entry was written in January but I only get to publish it now. With all of the things happening in the world especially the COVID-19 pandemic, I wonder when is the next time we're able to enjoy this kind of event again. But it is definitely great to be able to re-read the thoughts of pre-pandemic Anis so I hope you feel the same too!
