As thoughts grow in time

A Belif-able Christmas🎄

Annyeong, peeps. How was your holiday last weekend? For those who celebrated Christmas, I hope you had a jolly time with your family and friends. It's been an exciting Christmas season for me so far, especially ever since Belif Malaysia x The Butterfly Project dropped me a wonderful year-end gift box a few weeks ago 😍 I did a quick unboxing of it over my Instagram @anisfarhanaaliman91 before, and now after using them for quite awhile, it's time for me to share my thoughts about the products!

Of Super Junior Comeback 2017: Play 💙

*I do not own the image above. via: super junior*

Annyeong, friends! It's been awhile since I last posted this kind of blog post so some of you might have never seen me sharing about them before. Although I am focusing my blog on beauty niche lately, this space has always been my personal space to share about everything I love, including fangirling moments. Anyway yeah, long and behold, my favourite people 'Super Junior' is now back with a new album! Gosh, can't believe I'm fangirling at this age but yeah, you gotta love what you love no matter how old you are 😜 By the way, I've decided to share updates about their comeback in this one post and update it from time to time as a tracking purpose. I just love reading all my 'old' fangirling posts from years ago and I think I should keep it up. *giggles* I'm pinning this post up at the moment, if you are looking for the latest post, do check the posts below  😘

Follow Me Reformulated Green Tea Shampoo & Conditioner Range🍃

Follow Me Green Tea Range

Hello, friends! Recently, I found out that Follow Me had come out with a reformulated, repackaged version of their Green Tea Shampoo range when they sent me a package containing the Follow Me Soft and Smooth Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner to try out. Upon opening the beautifully curated PR package, my office space was filled with a pleasant floral scent which made me get really excited to start trying it. After a good one month of usage, now I am ready to share with you my thoughts about these two products.

Mamonde 🌸 Flower Essential Masks Review

Mamonde; Flower Essential Masks; KBeauty; Mamonde Malaysia; Mask Review

Hello, friends! Mask Mania Anis is back. Today I am going to share about another mask range and this time it's from a K-beauty brand called Mamonde. 'Mamonde' is actually a French word meaning 'my world' and this brand takes inspiration from everything in nature, especially flowers 🌸🌹🌻🌷 I wrote about them coming to Malaysia last year so you can read more there if you want to find out more about the brand.

Prep for the Run 🏃 with Nivea Protect & Care

Why do you put on a deodorant? To make sure your bodily scent doesn't cause any inconvenience to other people? While that reason is primarily why I started to use a deodorant, I also knew that deodorant application can also act as a protective layer between our skin towards unwanted intruders; such as germs etc. Our underarm is a pretty sensitive & vulnerable area; between the occasional shavings or plucking, it has a higher tendency to get irritated if it's not cared for properly.

My Favourite Cleansing Water 💦: Purevivi Cleansing Lotion Review

Hello, friends! Today I am going to be sharing about the Purevivi Cleansing Lotion, which is one of my favourite cleansing water/lotion to date. The Purevivi brand hails from Japan and I have introduced to it about two years ago while attending a beauty event by Watsons Malaysia. Not really thinking much about it at first and having too many products to try, I actually started using it slightly later on, and I regretted that decision up until now! This cleansing lotion is so good on my skin, I wondered why did it take me so long to start discovering the product.

Mamonde 🌸 Flower Pop Eyebrick & Flower Pop Blusher

Hello, friends! Today I am going to share about two new Mamonde products from the Flower Pop Range which are the Mamonde Flower Pop Blusher and the Mamonde Flower Pop Eyebrick. Mamonde Malaysia sent this to me to commemorate the opening of their new counter in Parkson, KLCC so of course I am going to review these babies for you guys. To be honest, when the news reached me, I could not believe they've already opened their 6th beauty counter in Malaysia because I can still vividly remember myself attending their 'blooming' launching event last year. How time flies!

How to Use an Aloe Vera Gel?

As a makeup and skincare enthusiast, quite a few people have asked me what is that one versatile product that I need to have on my vanity? 😎To be honest, my answer varies from time to time but in a lot of cases, I often mentioned that an aloe vera gel is one of the must have beauty item by everyone. Why? It's a multi purpose product with a fairly simple ingredients list (less complicated)that is affordable and most importantly; works like wonder. In the recent years, this fact has been proven even truer when the aloe very gels started to turn into a total craze, especially among K-Beauty lovers. 💕

Colourpop Nectar Collection Haul 🍑: I Went Crazy!

Today haul post is slightly embarrassing because I intended to make it two months ago but I never did. 🙊 Of course, I know that is not a reason why I shouldn't post now; especially with all the efforts of taking the pictures and swatches which I managed to get an extra help from Eros fishmeatdie. Seriously, he is one of the most dedicated and creative bloggers that I know in real life & he's been helping me a lot with pictures these days (i'm more of a blabber material)! His concept for every blog post is just amazing. 👍 (Okay Eros, did my PSA for you as promised 😂 )

Breena Beauty 💄 Velvet Matte Creme Range Review & Swatches

Hello, friends! Today, I am going to share about one of my favourite matte lipstick range and they are from a local brand Breena Beauty which was founded by one of my blogger friend Sabrina Tajudin. Honestly, I have been a loyal follower of her blog and when I found out that she was going to release a new matte lipstick line, I just couldn't contain my excitement! I made my order right after the lipsticks were released as I had to be the one to take the first dips at them no matter what (don't want to be left out!) and to my pleasant surprise, I ended up loving the formulation so much that I now own all nine shades of the Breena Beauty Velvet Matte Creme 💄(bought with my own $$$).

Orkid Cosmetics Matte Suede Creamy Liquid Lipsticks 💄 Review

I've been into the matte lipsticks game lately thanks to the influence of my colleague/friend Sydney so my stash has been growing considerably fast in these past few months. Of course, that doesn't stop me from trying out more because there is no such thing as 'too many lipsticks'. I am still in the quest of finding the best of out of the bests and to be honest to choose one as the winner now is becoming a really difficult thing to do. There so many good liquid lipstick brands out there that I am totally in love with at the moment!

Wanderlust Things Unicorn 🦄 Eye Makeup Brushes Review

Every beauty lovers need their magic wands and so do I. Of course, it cost no harm to have it extra fancy; or in my case having them looking like they are made of high-grade unicorn horn. 😂 The Wanderlust Things, an online store for everything unique and quirky offers exactly what I want, and the best part? There is no unicorn harmed during the making. 🦄 I have been eyeing them for quite awhile and fortunately, during the last Butterfly 🦋 Project party, Wanderlust Things decided to be one of the sponsors for the goody bag!

How to Book the ETS Train 🚅 : KL-Ipoh Team Bonding Trip Pt 1

One of the best things about working in Althea is being a part of a fun, and slightly crazy bunch who knows how to wind down and de-stress when it's needed. Our boss/Mamasan Tammy loves planning 'trips and surprises' for us so with the monthly team bonding budget provided by the company, she will often be seen scouring for the best buffet deals available in Kuala Lumpur so she can bring us 'eat our hearts out' or searching for awesome staycation promo to let us have a fun weekend gateway together.

Unboxing 🎁 Butterfly Project 4th Birthday Goodies!

Hello, friends! I know this is an old story and it's been two months since the Butterfly Project 4th Birthday, but I still want to take this chance to write and show you the awesome goodies that I received that day. If you read my previous 1028 post, you'll notice that I mentioned something about hospital and surgery. My life has been slightly out of order since June because I was suddenly hospitalised due to perforated appendicitis (meaning my appendix kinda 'burst', LOL) and all I did for the past months was focusing on getting back in shape. Now that I got some free time to go through the products again, I managed to do a quick unboxing 🎁video on my Youtube channel. You can watch it here:

Chir Chir 🐔 Fusion Korean Fried Chicken 🍗, Pavilion Elite KL Review

Annyeong, friends! I'm taking forever to finish up this review. Since my last visit to the Chir Chir Fusion Korean Fried Chicken's first Malaysia outlet in Pavilion Elite, my life had been a little chaotic (eg: sudden hospital visit, surgery etc). Anyways, I'm back and it's time for me to share my thoughts about this new hip place in town for Korean fried chicken lovers! 🍗Warning: this post may trigger unnecessary hunger and writer is not responsible for any of your late night (or daylight) binge eating. 😂

1028 Visual Therapy: Brownie Inspired Look Tutorial 🎂

Folks who love doing makeup know that the idea of creating different looks while getting inspirations from our daily lives is something that would bring endless possibilities and surprises. With that in mind, I've been wanting to try to come out with a makeup look that uses a particular theme as a guide and I thought that 'desserts' would be a fun angle to start. So, here is my attempt at doing a 'Brownie' 🎂 inspired makeup look in collaboration with a brand called 1028 Visual Therapy.

Raya Ready 💓 with Dettol & Air Wick!

Happy Ramadan Mubarak 💓 I hope this month is filled with blessing for each and every one of you. I bet everyone is already excited to prepare for the upcoming Raya too. Of course, I am as excited as you are and I've already started to plan the celebration with my family. Ours doesn't really go crazy over buying new home decor every year for Raya but my mum always makes sure our house is all cleaned and fresh on that happy day. The living space has to be looking good and smelling good in order to receive all of the visits from our family and friends right?

My Weight Loss Journey: HCG Metabolic Treatment at Toscana Medi Clinic, Publika.

Hello, friends. I'm back again; as always I do, after a long period of procrastination and leaving my blog empty with no new posting. Honestly, this is not a surprise anymore right? 😓 Seriously, I just can't trust myself when it comes to this kind of thing. I knew that I have zero willpower when it comes to focusing on my resolution. LOL 😭Thankfully, my blog is still well and alive. Thanks to those who dropped by and gave it some love while I was away!

A Silent Voice, Koe No Katachi Movie Review

Disclaimer: I do not own the image above

I am a huge anime fan, especially when they are sentimental as heck. I used to hate it when people called me 'too emotional' or 'overly emphatic' but maturity has led me to the door of acceptance ❤ and I am not being denial about it anymore; in fact, I am kinda proud that I am very keen towards emotional changes in people. My philosophy in life these days is to treat others with kindness and understanding because no matter how high your status is in life, it'll do nothing in reflecting your life value as a human being if you lead it without a good heart. Anyway, my point is, I just love stories that teach good moral ethics to their viewers because it'll help them think, reflect and relate to the good values in them.

Keeping Cozy with PS Love Co: Menstru Heat, Neck Heat & Back Heat Patches Review

Lately, I noticed that I've started to feel ache all over my body. I don't know if it's the age factor or it's because of the lack of movement in office, or because of both, I keep on feeling sore in different areas especially around my back and my neck. I wonder if my office's IKEA chair is not ergonomic enough too. LOL. Anyway, putting that aside, I needed to find a quick relief because it can get pretty uncomfortable sometimes, especially at 'that time of the month'.

5 Reasons Why Veet Sensitive Touch is Your New Bestie

I have this love-hate relationship with feminine shaving/trimming products. With a pretty sensitive skin, I always ended up getting irritation when using said items; be it a shaving cream or a shaving blade/device. I always need to opt for products that are made to cater for people with extra sensitive skin instead, and being extra also means extra budget needed to purchase them every time! Honestly, it was one of my biggest concern when it comes to personal care. It's just too expensive and those shaving cream ran out pretty fast too.

5 Ways to Soften & Smooth Your Feet

Recently, I realised that my feet and heels area keeps on becoming so dry and started to crack more seriously than usual. Well, I would have to blame it on my not-so-comfortable sandal that I've been wearing lately, so everything is on me. It reached the point of turning so bad that I had to try different approaches to fix it. After several experiments and testing, thankfully it is getting better. Knowing that there might be others who is facing the same issue, I wanted to share some of the tips and tricks that I have.

Miracle Romance Sailor Moon Eyeliners Review

Sailormoon Miracle Romance Eyeliners; Sailormoon Miracle Romance Liquid Eyelibers; Miracle Romance Sailormoon Eyeliner Review

If you and I are close enough, you would know that there are three major things that I'm really crazy about and wouldn't trade for anything; Super Junior, Harry Potter and Sailor Moon. I have less control over my impulse when it comes to these three. Sailor Moon for instance always reminds me of my childhood, Harry Potter of my teenager days while I fell in love with Super Junior as soon as I finished high school. They kinda represent my youth and even until now, I just love and can't get over them. Some might call me childish, immature, and that it's just a waste of time but I don't care anymore. I used to be extra conscious about what people say but nowadays, I've just decided to embrace the things that I love. I am good at that and I plan to keep on doing it.

Seoul Travel 2016: Hongdae Night Chill (Day 1)

Finally, I'm sitting down to share about my trip to Seoul, South Korea last year. I know some of you have been requesting about this ever since I came back, I'm sorry to make you wait! #guiltyascharged. Anyway, it was a pretty last minute trip and I only get to stay there for 5 days 4 nights. Some people might say it was long enough of a visit but for me who has been dreaming of going to Korea since forever, it was a really short one.

Sunplay Sport Suncreen Lotion & Mist Review

I received a PR package from Mentholatum awhile ago (actually it was around the end of last year) containing two of their newest sun protection products which are the Sunplay Sport UV Sunscreen and the Sunplay Sport UV Mist. They are formulated exclusively for sports activities; both wet and dry. As you may know, I'm not exactly the sporty type. #chubsalert Since I'm probably 99% not a sports person but once in awhile on a very rare occasion, I do participate in some sweaty activities under the sun. For example; going to the beach. Since these products are formulated with the Wet Skin Technology, you will be able to enjoy the most intense sport with maximum sun protection

Weekend Gateway in KL: Sekeping Tenggiri, Bangsar

One of the perks of working in my office is that each team got monthly funds which we can use to do group activities to strengthen our bonds and improve our team work; we call it the 'team bonding'. Sometimes, we went for an eating adventure (eg: trying out fine Indian cuisine at Malgudi) because everyone in the team is major foodies and on some other times, we would opt for longer activities like going for a 2 Days 1 Night stay-cation together. The planner/mastermind behind these trips is usually our boss/mamasan +Tammy Lim and she never fails to impress us every time. Seriously, she is one of the best people I know at the art of deals-hunting. I never knew that I could go to such gorgeous places with a minimum budget!

Halal Foods in Seoul, South Korea.

I know that it's been months since I came back from my trip to Korea and also months since I promised to do a write-up about my 5 days itinerary there. See, Anis is not Anis if she doesn't procrastinate. I should have started working on the topic now rather than mumbling nonsense here but I haven't actually finish outlining the content of that itinerary post. To make it up, I'm going to share about something as important as the travel plan; it's about finding halal foods.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Review

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask; Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Review; Innisfree Review; Innisfree Mask Review

I'm back to share more about masks. Honestly, the number of mask sheets that I have in my stash is overwhelming but I can't seem to stop myself from getting more of them. It's like an addiction; but since they are good for my skin, why not right? We always put on face masks in the office too, so it is not like I'm just leaving them to lie around without use. *giggles*

Canmake Japan: Review & First Impressions

While having a pretty wide knowledge on Korean beauty trends, I realised that I rarely venture into their neighbouring country, Japan's makeup style. Also well loved by many ladies all over the world, some of the things that I know about Japanese beauty products based on my little experience with them is that they prefer a more simple and natural daily look over a too much-polished outcome. With rawer and more 'human' feel is the kind of makeup that I always see gracing Japanese themed magazine.

7Hara My First Lipstick Review

7Hara My First Lipstick Review; 7Hara My First Lipstick Swatches; 7Hara My First Lipstick; 7Hara Girl on the Cherry Pink; 7Hara Touch to Rose Deep Red; 7Hara Love is Coral

I wonder where did my resolution flies off too after I 'grandiosely' announce that I wanted to clear off all pending reviews as soon as possible? Same old Anis but hey, I'm back again trying to continue where I left off. Being a K-beauty addict, I'm all aware about how easy we can find really great Korean cosmetics products that won't punch a hole through our pocket. Yet, whenever I discover new products, I can't help myself from being blown away over and over again. It actually took me a bit to decide which product should I write about first but since I've been so obsessed with lips products lately, it's time to tell the world about this babies from 7Hara.

Malgudi Fine Indian Cuisine Review

Indian food. Sigh who doesn't like Indian food? I mean, maybe not everyone but as a Malaysian, I think that we've grown enough with Indian foods all around us that the probability of not liking their cuisine is pretty low. Regardless of race, everyone loves a good teh tarik time at Mamak or even a scrumptious hand feed banana leaf meal. Don't even get me started with the huge variety of naan, paratha, and etc. The choices are endless and honestly, I can't imagine the world without them.

And that is why these past few days have been really hard. LOL

How To Introvert Like A Pro: Hijab Shopping at Carousell

I'm back with my 'How to Introvert Like A Pro' series. I guess I haven't changed much from two years ago since I'm still comfortable shopping for stuff at the comfort of my own room. If last time I talked about how easy it is to buy your groceries without going out, this time I'm gonna share with you on how I shop for clothing! Seriously, with the booming of Muslimah fashion in Malaysia and the evolution of hijab trends, it'll be very hard to keep up with the flow if you don't have the 'knows hows' yet.

Street Churros: From Korea to Malaysia

Churro (plural Churros) is a deep fried dough pastry that has been gaining a lot of popularity in Malaysia lately. Its origin country is unclear (according to Wikipedia) but personally, I first found out about this delicious snack from a Korean TV show a few years back. Being a total food lover, of course, it made me want to try it. Unfortunately, it was pretty hard to find a decent cafe/stall that sells it at an affordable price (basing on my poor university student status) in Malaysia at that time. In the end, I sort of just give up looking for it. Time passed and the Hallyu wave grows bigger. After awhile, I started to see a lot of popular Korean food franchises that I've only seen on TV before announcing their arrival in Malaysia. Guess how ecstatic I was at that time? That's when I started to see some churros stalls popping up in shopping malls and I finally get to try the Churros I've been craving for.

Recipe: Healthy Iftar & Daily Menu with Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur

This is pretty late but I have some story to share from last fasting month. We all know that Ramadhan can be tricky. Muslim fast to understand the suffering of the less fortunate people while helping to cleanse our body and make it healthier, but sometimes that can be very hard to achieve due to the bazaar popping up everywhere. I mean Malaysia is undeniably a food heaven and we have been confirming the fact over and over again!

Experiencing Tao Chinese Cuisine's Wedding Lunch with InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

One of the best thing about being a Malaysian is the opportunity to experience the cultural diversity we have in this country; be it foods, traditions or languages. It's these things that makes Malaysia so colourful and interesting in our own unique way. If we just can fully embrace the differences that we we have, I bet this world would be a better place to live in. I have always been interested in culture and history, so when I was invited by the InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur (last year actually but I totally forgot to share about this one, sigh) to attend and experience a mock Chinese wedding and dining ceremony, it didn't take me long to say yes.

Travel Throwback: Seoul Bound.

*This post was written during the journey for personal journal purpose but it took me a long time to post.  LOL Sorry for the bad grammar & pictures. I didn't proof read this;)

I am finally flying off to the land I have been wanting to step my feet on since for like; forever. Seoul, South Korea. I am not believing it. Not now, not yet.

VR Lab SS2: Experiencing Gaming in Virtual Reality

Awkward looking but you'll get pass that.

"The future is now," said my colleague Sydney when I told her about my recent gaming experience at one of VR Lab outlet located in SS2, Petaling Jaya. I still vividly remember how my younger self used to imagine a far-in-the-future world where virtual reality is possible and commercially accessible for normal people to use. All those sci-fi films made me wonder how great it would be to experience something thats even better than the traditional flat screen 2D entertainment world that we are already used to. Little that I know at that time that my imagination would turn into a reality way faster than I initially thought it would be and that I am lucky enough to be experiencing it in my youth.

Pablo Cheese Tart Malaysia: Discovering New Matcha & Chocolate Flavours

Not long after my first 'rendezvous' at the Pablo Cheese tart's first Malaysia outlet in 1 Utama Shopping Mall, I was invited there once more. This time, it was to taste test their special flavoured cheese tarts which was not yet available during the first launching.

B-Lab I'm Sorry Just Cleansing Peeling Gel & Cleansing Water Review

kbeauty; korean skincare; b-lab; b-lab korea; i am sorry just cleansing; i am sorry just cleansing water; i am sorry just cleansing natural peeling gel; b-lab review; i am sorry just cleansing review; althea korea; althea malaysia; althea singapore; althea indonesia; althea philippines; althea thailand

One of my new year resolutions is to start reviewing all the beauty products that I have been using but never got the chance to write about last year. My shopping habit in 2016 has totally changed from how it used to be (read: ex-Sephora serial shopper). These days, rather than shopping at the counters, I realised that I've been doing online shopping a lot more instead; and working at Althea kind of made it worse HAHA. That is why, a majority of the products I have been wanting to write about were purchased from Althea (I always fail to resist the temptation just like others LOL). Knowing that there are tonnes of new K-beauty brands to discover excites me; thus, the unstoppable spending! My vanity drawer is kind of filled up to the brim right now, so I've been putting myself on a shopping ban. Does anyone relate to this?!

Jerlynn'L: A Safer Choice for Kids & You

I love discovering new brands, especially ones with stories and Jerlynn'L is a local brand that fits perfectly in that category. Established by a father who wants to give the best for his children, Jerlynn'L provides a range of products that are formulated to suit children's delicate skin by using natural & earth-sourced ingredients. Needless to say, this means that the products from this brand will definitely cater to adults with sensitive skin too. In this post, I'm going to share my thoughts on four products from Jerlynn'L that I have been trying for the past month.
